Account management and deletion
Version 1.2 — last updated 2026-08-12
What an account is for
HoraDose works without an account. You only need one for features that connect two devices — Ensemble mode with a caregiver, for instance.
The account holds no health data. Your medications, doses, mood and journal stay on your device, in an encrypted database we cannot access.
Deleting your account from the app
Open HoraDose, go to Settings, then choose account deletion. This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
Deleting your account without the app
If you have uninstalled the app or no longer have access to it, write to privacy@horadose.com asking for your account to be deleted. You do not need to sign in.
We acknowledge receipt and handle the request as quickly as possible, and within 30 days at the latest.
What is deleted, and when
Immediately and permanently, on our servers: your account, your public encryption keys, every encrypted message in transit with a caregiver, and the link connecting you to that person. This cannot be undone.
On your device: nothing is erased remotely. Because your health data is stored only with you, you are the one who deletes it — from the app's settings, or by uninstalling it.
What is kept, and why
An anonymous proof of erasure: a date, together with a non-reversible fingerprint of a technical identifier. It lets us demonstrate that the deletion took place without keeping any information about you. It contains no name, no address and no health data, and cannot be traced back to you.
If you are also on the tester waitlist, that list is separate from your account: unsubscribe using the link in our messages, or write to the same address.
