HoraDose on Android watch (Wear OS)

HoraDose also has an app for Android watches (Wear OS), the counterpart of the Apple Watch app. It shows your doses on your wrist and is included with the Premium plan (the free version does not enable it).

Features

  • Your day, hour by hour: the same timeline as the Home screen — doses, wake-up, meals, bedtime and restrictions. On return to the screen, the list positions itself so everything left to take is visible — buttoned doses (and the "take today" card) at the top, otherwise the current-time marker, including during a restriction.
  • Doses: taken = time + green ✓ (on time / early / late); due = "Confirm dose" button. If several amounts are possible, you choose the quantity; otherwise it is shown read-only — the app never suggests a dose.
  • "Take today": a free-intake medication rides the timeline as an amber dashed-border card below the buttoned doses, with its deadline ("before HH:MM") and an "I took this medication" button available until midnight.
  • One tile per dose, like on the phone: one row per medication, with its pill, its name and "strength · quantity"; linked medications stay in a single tile (from 6, 4 rows and "Show the N other medications").
  • The ⋮ button at the top right of each dose tile, or a tap on the tile, opens its options; an unconfirmed dose opens its confirmation directly. No more long press. With TalkBack, the button is announced "Options for" followed by the medication, and the tile offers the "Options" action. Unconfirmed doses always stay visible in the timeline.
  • Reminders: the watch rings once per dose time, naming every medication of that time; the reminder and the face chip open a single confirmation listing them all. If you confirm only one from its tile, the reminder goes on for the others.
  • After a dose, the tile shows "✓" at once and the list scrolls to the next dose; a tile taller than the screen first shows its top, then scrolls slowly down to the button (a touch or the crown stops it; "Remove animations" goes straight to the button).
  • Meals, wake-up, bedtime: tap the tile to move today's time (one-tap suggestions, then 15-minute steps).
  • Restrictions: an orange zone in your day; tap the top or bottom time = hours + medications involved. As needed: at the end of the list with today's count.
  • Settings ⚙: Past shown/hidden (unconfirmed doses always stay visible) and the restrictions display (none / current / all).
  • Send feedback: your dose is recorded the moment you tap, even out of range — nothing is lost; a ✓ confirms the phone received it.
  • Mood: level + symptoms pre-checked from your last entry.

The tile

Swiping sideways from the watch face brings up the HoraDose tile. It shows the time of your next dose and, where relevant, the food-restriction mark with the time that matters — “Fin : 14:30” while a restriction is running, “Début : 19:00” while one is approaching — plus the blue square of a running situation. Tapping opens the app. A thumbnail now represents it in the watch's tile picker.

The pill on the watch face

On a watch face that shows the HoraDose complication in a single colour, the HoraDose capsule becomes your medication's pill when the next dose has only one and no restriction or situation mark is shown. With two or more medications, nothing changes.

A late dose stays on screen

Once the time of a dose you have not taken has passed, its time stays visible on the face and on the tile — orange on the tile — until the end of the window where taking it still makes sense, then clears itself. Same behaviour as on the Apple Watch.

The chip on the watch face

From the moment a dose is due, a small HoraDose chip appears on your watch face with the dose time, and an entry joins your recent apps. It makes no sound and no vibration — the usual reminder is what alerts you. Tapping it opens the confirmation screen, where the medication name and amount are visible: nothing is confirmed by a tap on the face. The chip goes away as soon as the dose is confirmed, or on its own at the end of the window.

Without a subscription

On the free version the watch shows the time of your next dose and a discreet line inviting you to activate Premium from your phone — no medication name, no records. The face and the tile show the HoraDose symbol alone, with no time. Exactly what a free user sees on Apple Watch.

Colours and reminders

  • A dose that is overdue but still takeable shows in orange (never red).
  • The dose reminder is the phone notification, forwarded automatically to the watch, which vibrates on your wrist even when the app is closed.
  • The "Open HoraDose on your phone" message appears only when the watch truly has had no news from the phone for a long time — not simply because the data is a little old.

⚠️ The Wear OS watch requires an Android phone (Google Bluetooth connection between the phone and the watch). An Apple Watch is still managed by the iPhone app.
