Vibrations

Vibration on touch and dose-confirmation haptic

Why these settings?

When you tap a button in HoraDose, the app confirms the action visually (the button shrinks slightly or briefly highlights). The visual confirmation is always on — it cannot be disabled, because it protects you from accidental double taps.

You can additionally turn on a short vibration when you tap a button — useful if your phone is in a thick case or you want a tactile confirmation without looking at the screen.

Where to find the settings

Settings → Reminders → Vibrations

  • Vibration on touch — turns the short vibration on or off for every tapped button. On by default.
  • Intensity — Light, Medium, or Strong. Appears only when vibration is on. Strong by default — tactile sensitivity decreases with age and we want you to feel each confirmation clearly. If you find the vibration too pronounced (phone without a case, naturally high sensitivity, or tremors that amplify the sensation), step down to Medium or Light.
  • Dose confirmation vibration — a dedicated vibration fires the moment HoraDose records your dose in the database. Separate toggle from the touch vibration so you can keep this critical signal even if you turn the general vibration off.

What about Silent mode?

The touch vibration still fires when your phone is in Silent mode — it's a system feature, not a sound. No vibration is sent during the night or in « Do not disturb » if your device does not support haptic vibration (rare).

Reduce motion

If you have turned on Reduce Motion in iOS (Settings → Accessibility → Motion) or Android (Settings → Accessibility → Remove animations), HoraDose respects that choice: visual animations are disabled, but the vibration stays active to keep the tactile confirmation.
